Here’s my YouTube Video and Classic Movie Review of the film An American in Paris: starring Gene Kelly, Georges Guetary, Oscar Levant, Nina Foch and introducing Leslie Caron. Music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin. Directed by Vincente Minnelli. This is considered by AFI as one of the MOST Romantic FILMS OF ALL TIME!

An American in Paris (1951) is the story of ex-GI Jerry Mulligan post WWII who’s decided to stay in Paris, France to become a serious painter and find the fame and fortune that he’s always dreamed of.  Along the way, he sings and dances his way into the heart of beautiful Lise Bouvier.  Can Jerry really have it all?  And, at what cost?

Jerry!  If it means anything to you, I love you.
-Lise Bouvier, An American in Paris
