Gone With The Wind (1939) is an epic historical romance saga set in the deep south against the backdrop of the Civil War.  It shows the trials and tribulations of wealthy, feisty, obstinate Scarlett O’Hara who is determined to be with the man of her dreams, Ashley Wilkes, despite his decision to marry his own cousin, Melanie Hamilton.  Despite a broken heart, Scarlett becomes even more determined to fulfill her romantic and financial destiny and marries longtime adversary Rhett Butler to ensure her security and ultimate triumph.
